  The Citizens’ Trails Advisory Committee, Inc. (also known as “CTAC” and “Abington Trails”) is a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation formed in 2001 to promote community health, education and recreation by fostering the development of safe passageways that enhance the quality of life and community welfare in Abington Township.  Because CTAC is a nonprofit corporation formed for an exempt purpose described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, contributions to CTAC, including membership dues, except to the extent, if any, that value is received in exchange for those contributions, are tax deductible, for federal income tax purposes, to the full extent authorized by law.  Under the By-Laws of CTAC, membership is for the calendar year in which dues are paid and continues through June 30 of the calendar year following the year for which those dues are paid.
